As a regular commuter to London I went to the recent rail summit. Southeastern is clearly using the contractual position as a means to obtain additional subsidy to reinstate our City trains. Charles Horton made it quite clear that if anyone with £635,000 pa wanted to make a payment then they would reinstate the trains. On the basis KCC and Liberty claim the lack of the service is costing them dearly in terms of tenant demand and impending lease renewals , perhaps they would like to donate 1/2 acre of land at Kings Hill which WOULD fund the service.....food for thought ?

Finally, I would like to encourage people to use the new STATION CAR PARK, it is fantastic and just what commuters wanted. It is easily accessed off the bypass without running the risk of getting stopped by the POLICE, brightly lit with CCTV, easy payment options on line and staffed by very friendly and helpful chaps who are there from 5.30 am..... they even offered to change my flat tyre !!!!
